my first trip to india started directly in the crowded, colourful and unruly heart of India. arriving early in the morning at the indira ghandi international airport the first i recognized was the special kind of indian smell (everyone who's been there knows what i'm talking about). after the 60 minutes transfer to the hotel i felt asleep directly. five hours later , back on the scene we took a cab (on e of the yellow black ones without air condition) and started our five hours roundtrip trough all parts of dehli. during our trip we vistited the ghandi smriti museum formerly known as birla house, where the great founder of the indian nation, mahatma ghandi lived till his assassination and where he used to hold his prayers and meetings. our next point of interest was the enormous gate of india, which let the l'arc de triumphe in paris looks pale because of its dimensions. the picture on the left shows
humayun's tomb. its alikeness with the taj mahal is amazing but explainable. the tomb was the prototype for one of the seven new wonders of the world.
